About the Garuda Indonesia logo
Garuda Indonesia is the flag carrier of Indonesia. It succeeded KLM’s Indonesian subsidiary, and President Sukarno suggested the name Garuda, the mythical bird that carries the Hindu god Vishnu.
The bird has remained its symbol, though the drawing has changed. An early version showed a triangular bird with a red and white shield, later replaced by a stylized Garuda whose wings are formed by bent lines, in blue and aqua colors. Collectors of Asian airline history will find the mix of mythology and modern design a striking choice for the wrist. This watch brings that national emblem to your wrist.
