About the Deccan Airways logo
Deccan Airways was an Indian airline based in Hyderabad, created in the mid-1940s as a joint venture between the Nizam’s government and Tata Airlines. It flew passengers, freight and mail with Douglas DC-3 Dakotas until 1953, when it was merged with other airlines into Indian Airlines.
The watches in this collection recall the early days of Indian commercial aviation, just after the war, when a handful of new carriers began linking the subcontinent by air. This watch brings that pioneering Indian air-travel era to your wrist.
