About the Varig logo
Varig was founded in 1927 in Porto Alegre, in southern Brazil, and grew to become the country’s flagship airline. It collapsed in 2006, when a bankruptcy court supervised the sale of its routes, slots and brand.
Its best-known mark pairs the VARIG name in strong blue capitals with a compass-rose star. The watches in this collection cover several versions of that identity.
