About the Northwest Orient logo
Northwest Orient was the name used by Northwest Airlines, the Minnesota-based U.S. carrier that added “Orient” to its identity to stress its flights across the Pacific to Asia. Northwest was later absorbed into Delta Air Lines.
The name and lettering recall a time when long Pacific crossings were a bold adventure, and the airline’s red-tailed aircraft were a familiar sight at airports on both sides of the ocean. The watches in this collection take their cue from that era of transpacific travel. This watch brings that Pacific-era style to your wrist.
