About the Thai Airways logo
Thai Airways was founded in 1960 as a joint venture between Scandinavian Airlines and a Thai domestic carrier, and it became the flag carrier of Thailand, flying from Bangkok. Its identity is built on Thai culture: a tail design inspired by the traditional greeting gesture and temple roofs, with gold, magenta and purple recalling temples, blossoms and orchids.
