About the Trans Australia Airlines logo
Trans Australia Airlines was founded in 1946 as a government-owned carrier and began flying that September. It became a familiar sight across Australia, with a livery known as The Look of the Seventies built around a white T on a blue tail. It was renamed Australian Airlines in 1986 and later absorbed by Qantas. The watches in this collection recall the airline’s graphics.
