About the Varney Continental logo
Walter Varney’s airline business grew in the American West, and its Southwest Division later became Continental Air Lines. In 1936 Robert F. Six invested in that operation, and it was renamed Continental in 1937. Continental went on to become one of the notable U.S. carriers until its merger with United in 2010.
The Varney Continental identity links that early airmail past with the airline that followed, in simple lettering from the pioneering years. The watches in this collection revisit that look. This watch brings that Western airline heritage to your wrist.
